The program equips students with the skills needed for academic success in any setting. The Leader in Me is also aligned to many national and state academic standards. The Leader In Me program is a Corporate Indoctrination with religious concepts posing as character and leadership education. It is a process crafted by teachers for teachers. The Leader in Me is not a program, it is a process. The Leader in Me seeks to discover, nurture, and honor greatness in all. I set priorities, make a schedule, and follow my plan. The Leader in Me searches out talents in each student and each staff member, and provides opportunities for using and nurturing those talents.

Our mission is to develop active student leaders with creative minds, understanding, compassionate and with the courage to act on their personal beliefs.ĪGA does not merely focus on improving test scores, but prides itself on providing opportunities for students to develop their full potential. Prairie Trace Elementary is proud to be in its 2nd year as a Leader in Me School. It teaches 21st century leadership and life skills to students and creates a culture of student empowerment based on the idea that every child can be a leader.ĪGA truly believes in our mission statement and strives to help students achieve their potential by encouraging all staff, students and families to use the 7 Habits language regularly. The program is designed for our elementary students. It is an evidence-based, comprehensive-school improvement model developed in partnership with educators that empowers students. In summary, this program is based on Steven Coveys Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. The Leader in Me is Franklin Covey’s whole-child and school transformation process. We are proud to be a school that fully embraces the Leader in Me program.
